Mission
According to Forbes, Financial Independence is "a state of being in which you don't have to work to pay your living expenses. You may decide to retire or you may choose to work because you want to, not because you have to." According to Wikipedia, Financial Independence is "the status of having enough income to pay one's living expenses for the rest of one's life without having to be employed or dependent on others." The mission of the Financial Independence Course is to help people get more insight as to how to achieve Financial Independence. Unlike perhaps other instructors, we don't claim that you can achieve Financial Independence by simply taking this course. Rather, you should use this course as a starting point in your own quest for financial independence. Trust us - it is a quest worth going on!

Vision
The vision of this course is to get you started on achieving Financial Independence. As part of this course, we provide materials based on the latest in the world of finance, neuroscience and psychology to help people gain a better understanding of the basic concepts underlying financial independence and how to achieve it.

The basic concepts from psychology underlying sense-making, bounded awareness and confirmation biases have also been covered in the course "Managing our Inner Worlds" by Dr. Ramya Ranganathan. You can view the course here:
https://craftingourlives.com/online-courses/managing-our-inner-worlds/

Please make sure to go through all the videos to get a good grounding in the relevant foundational concepts from psychology. These concepts are the foundation for more advanced concepts that will teach you such things as how to get more work-life balance and how to lead a more joyful life. But, of course, since the purpose of the course is to help us manage our inner lives, it will not get you started on financial independence itself per se. But it can teach you how to achieve a better lifestyle. So, please review the course materials for this course as thoroughly as possible and do sign up for the more advanced sessions since they are likely to be helpful for you in managing your work lifestyle.
In addition, we also recommend that you go through two recent books by Nir Eyal, "Hooked" and "Indistractable". Also, if you have additional time, please feel free to watch the videos on Nir Eyal and his work available on the The Royal Society for Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA)'s Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvhsiQGy_zcNCiSbeXEjhLg. These are also quite helpful.
In addition to these material, we also recommend that you complete Emma Rasiel's course on Behavioral Finance on Coursera. It is available at the following link:

We also have a video series on this topic for reddit.com/r/catholicism. You can view the first video here:
Premium subscribers will also get access to the material we have prepared covering the more advanced topics on Financial Independence. But here's the truth. The truth is that nobody can teach you what is the best entrepreneurial opportunity out there. But some paths are certainly better than others. To get some ideas on what sorts of paths you can pursue, for premium subscribers, we provide access to the panel discussions we have been conducting with a number of people from the Indian diaspora. Panelists include the CEO of a large software company (> 500 employees), the co-founder of a large analytics software company based in the United States (> $100 million p.a. in revenues), a professor of Computer Science at IIT, the co-founder of a startup based in the Middle East, et cetera. You can get a number of ideas on what opportunities exist in the market today by going through their thoughtful comments from the panel discussions.
